Once an orphanage, a psychiatric hospital and nursing home, now it 99,000 sq ft of corridors and rooms stands empty and deserted.

Opened in 1874 as a orphanage for 321 children, however by the end of World War I there was over a thousand orphans housed here. The conditions were tough and cruel, many children suffered under the supervision of the Matrons. By 1951 the orphanage had closed and became Newsham Park Hospital and Asylum, which remained in operation until 1988.

If you have ever wanted to investigate a deserted asylum with many of its original features, then this event is for you.
