Woodchester Mansion lies in a remote, dark and haunted valley, during the winter months the temperature usually drops below zero after Midnight.  Our winter events run from 7:00pm until 2:00am still allowing you seven hours of pitch black ghost hunting!!

For more than a century, the half-finished mansion at Woodchester has looked like every Hollywood producer’s dream of a haunted house. Two miles of wooded parkland, with a thin vapour-like mist rising from the chain of lakes on a bright moonlight night, is something which put the imagination on overtime. The ghosts of Woodchester Mansion are far from imagined, there have been over sixteen apparitions sighted over the years and not all have been given positive identities.

Woodchester Mansion is world famous for being haunted by an array of characters through history. A phantom coach and horses have been seen at the entrance gates to the park as well as the infamous “ragged dwarf” – first witnessed by a local Reverend in 1903.

Among the supernatural dwellers of the mansion include: a white lady who wanders on the second floor, apparitions of Second World War American infantry (along with 1940s music), A tall Victorian gentleman seen floating in the Chapel, Poltergeist and disturbing visions in the cellars.
Fright Nights are now offering YOU the chance to take part in a ghost hunting experience at Woodchester Mansion, one of England's most haunted locations. You will be using ghost hunting equipment and be joined by experienced paranormal investigators and clairvoyant medium. Various activities will take place to ensure that you have are in the most haunted areas of the Mansion at all time. You can take part in various psychic experiments such as glass moving and dowsing as well as a final grand séance in the most active part of the mansion.

This event takes investigation to the limit - we will be staying in an empty mansion house with no heating except for one fire. It will be very cold and very dark.

You will need to bring very warm clothing, hot drinks and biscuits will be made available courtesy of Fright Nights. We also suggest that you bring cameras, camcorders and other recording equipment, the results obtained at Woodchester Mansion have been amazing!

We came to the Woodchester Ghost Vigil and I'm just writing to say THANK YOU!! We had a brilliant time and on several occasions we were well and truly spooked! We've been to a couple of haunted places before with various groups but you guys are by far the best! The mansion was amazing and the atmosphere was out of this world.
