A GATHERING OF GHOSTS Back to Ghost Hunts
*
An eccentric history and eccentric ghosts ranging from a young maiden to a German pilot, The Museum of Kent Life is one of our most unusual and haunted locations ever!

The museum is on the site of Sandling Farm which dates back to 1555 and was once part of the Allington Castle owned by the lover of Anne Boleyn, Sir Thomas Wyatt. It is quite possible that Sir Thomas and Anne Boleyn may have had secret trysts in and around Sandling farmhouse!

The site has gone through many changes in its 450 years, from Tudor farmstead, remodelled in Georgian times and then again in Victorian times to its last owner, George Brundle.

With ten buildings and dozens of rooms to explore, this site is packed with stories of paranormal phenomena ranging from:
  • The ghost of a German pilot who was killed when his plane crashed into the tearoom roof
  • A cursed farm barn which holds an old gypsy caravan
  • Petts Farmhouse was dismantled from Burham village and rebuilt at the museum but is still haunted by Rebecca Alexander who died holding her newborn baby in her arms.
  • The museum is situated at the bottom of Bluebell Hill, the most haunted hill in England, so it is not surprising that there is believed to be more than one ghost prowling the site at night.
  • A young maiden said to wander the original Oast House and near the pond
  • Visitors have noticed shadowy figures at the windows and a flickering candlelight has been spotted even when the museum has been closed for the night
Fright Nights have hired the whole museum for the night for a very exclusive paranormal investigation. The night begins with a special tour of the buildings and site, detailing real-life experiences and historical information researched by experts. This will set the scene before you are joined by experienced paranormal investigators and mediums to try and experience paranormal activity in one of the most haunted museums in England! Full use of Ghost Hunting and Psychic equipments will be provided as well as hot refreshments through the night

Please note:. Over 18s only. No food is served on this event, although hot drinks and biscuits are provided.
