There are several ghosts that haunt the castle. A Grey Lady haunts the main grounds and old chapel. But these ghosts are nothing compared to the spectre of the Black Monk. Dudley Zoo staff have seen him a number of times in the past few years, his presence is felt throughout the castle and sends shivers down the backs of visitors he passes by.

During our events at Dudley Castle participants have regularly experienced amazing ghostly activity including ghostly figures, poltergeist activity and strange sensations. Dudley Castle could well be the most haunted in the country!

Our Ghost Festival allows you to take part in ghost hunting vigils in the location's most haunted areas with experienced clairvoyants and paranormal investigators. We also will be providing storytellers to regail you with the ghosts of the Dudley Castle, if you need a briefing beforehand!
