The site where the Bell stands has been a pub since 1842. The current building has been there since the 1880’s. Catherine Eddowes was not the only Ripper victim to have drank in the pub. Frances Coles who was murdered on 12th February 1891 was seen drinking in the pub before she was murdered later that evening. Did Jack the Ripper visit the pub to target his victims?

The pub has several other ghosts or spirits which are said to haunt the building. Over the years there have been several reports of activity such as lights turning themselves off & footsteps when there is no one there.

The pub has appeared in several history books such as Haunted London & Ghosts of London.

Please note: Over 18s only – no pregnant women allowed and attendees must be reasonably fit. Parking is available onsite. For more information please see our full Terms and Conditions. This event is organised by Fright Nights London
