Calling all ghost hunters, novice or experienced to come and join us at The Bell Hotel in Thetford this October, just 3 days before Halloween, for an evening to remember!

The Bell Hotel was partly constructed in the 15th Century as an Inn, but with the arrival of rail links to Norwich and further afield, additional wings were constructed in the 17th,19th and 20th centuries, to turn this establishment into the hotel it is today.

Our Bell Hotel Ghost Hunt includes:

• Introduction – The history and hauntings
• Mediumship walkround – who haunts tonight?
• Psychic and Ghost Hunting Equipment
• Psychic experiments including seances, glass divination, table tipping and more
• Ghost hunting vigils in the dark
• Hot drinks and biscuits
• Your chance to ghost hunt in a haunted location throughout the night

As for the hauntings? You’re in for a treat. A previous owner from the 18th century by the name of Betty Radcliffe is said to still be in her beloved hotel in room 29 with her lover next door in room 30. Betty met her end after a heated argument with her lover when he pushed her from the window and her lifeless body was found in the courtyard below.

Visions of a lady standing at that very window have been reported by guests over the years, along with feelings of ‘not being alone’ in room 29. Pillows have been moved on the bed at night and curtains have closed on their own!

Staff have reported hearing voices and seeing the chandelier starting to swing in room 30. A hooded monk figure has been seen wondering the corridors late at night and not forgetting the two spirit dogs that stand guard by the fireplace in the main bar.

The Bell Hotel had never been investigated by a Ghost Hunt Events Team prior to our ;ast visit in April 2022, so we are very privileged to be allowed in.  Why not come and join us?  This will be a great night if our last was anything to go by – one not to be missed, and certainly not one for the faint hearted!
